How-to Guide
1. Accept One Change
Feature entry: Click or select the revision mark that you want to process, then click Accept on the revision box.
- Open a document that contains tracked changes.
- Click or select the revision mark that you want to process.
- Click Accept on the revision box.
- Check whether the selected revision has been applied to the document.
- Continue reviewing as the cursor moves to the next revision.
Success Criteria
- The current revision is accepted and applied to the document.
- You can continue reviewing the next tracked edit.
Tips While Using
- If you need to undo the action right away, press
Ctrl + Z.- Confirm the current revision before continuing with more edits.
2. Accept All Changes
Feature entry: Review → Accept drop-down menu.
- Open the document that you want to finalize.
- Click the drop-down arrow next to Accept.
- Select Accept All Changes in Document.
- Wait for all tracked edits in the file to be processed.
Success Criteria
- All revisions in the document are accepted.
- No pending tracked edits remain in the file.
Tips While Using
- Review important edits before running a batch action.
- Save a backup copy before applying all changes to a formal document.
3. Reject One Change
Feature entry: Click or select the revision mark that you want to process, then click Reject on the revision box.
- Open a document that contains tracked changes.
- Click or select the revision mark that you want to process.
- Click Reject on the revision box.
- Check whether the original content has been restored.
- Continue reviewing as the cursor moves to the next revision.
Success Criteria
- The current revision is rejected.
- The document returns to the content state before that edit.
Tips While Using
- Confirm that you do not want to keep the edit before rejecting it.
- If needed, press
Ctrl + Zimmediately to undo the action.
4. Reject All Changes
Feature entry: Review → Changes → Reject drop-down menu.
- Open the document where you want to clear all revisions.
- Click the drop-down arrow next to Reject.
- Select Reject All Changes in Document.
- Wait for all tracked edits in the file to be rejected.
Success Criteria
- All revisions in the document are rejected.
- The document returns to the state without those proposed edits.
Tips While Using
- This batch action affects every tracked change in the document.
- Confirm that you are working in the correct file version before proceeding.
5. Review Changes One by One
Feature entry: Review → Previous/Next Change.
- Open a document that contains multiple tracked changes.
- Click Previous Change or Next Change.
- Move through each revision in sequence.
- Decide whether to accept or reject the current revision.
- Repeat until the review is complete.
Success Criteria
- You can move through each tracked change in order.
- Each revision can be reviewed before you decide what to keep.
Tips While Using
- Start from the beginning of the document for a more complete review.
- Save the file before a long review session.
