1. Add a preset text watermark

Entry path: Page tab → Watermark drop-down menu

  1. Open the document where you want to add a watermark.
  2. Click the Page tab at the top of the window.
  3. Open the Watermark drop-down menu.
  4. Select a preset style such as Confidential, Do Not Copy, Draft, or Sample.
  5. Click the style to apply it to all pages in the document.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected preset text watermark appears in the page background.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing the document or save it.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not switch to the Page tab, you may miss the Watermark menu.
  • Environment note: Preset watermarks apply to all pages in the document.

2. Create a custom text watermark

Entry path: Page tab → Watermark drop-down menu → Insert Watermark

  1. Open your document and click the Page tab.
  2. Open the Watermark drop-down menu.
  3. Select Insert Watermark.
  4. In the dialog box, choose Text watermark.
  5. Enter the text you want to display.
  6. Set the font, font size, color, and layout.
  7. Click OK to apply the watermark.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: Your custom text watermark appears in the page background.
  • Next action available: You can return to the document, keep editing, or save a new copy.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not choose the Text watermark type first, the text field may not be available.
  • Environment note: The selected text style is applied to the document pages after confirmation.

3. Add an image watermark

Entry path: Page tab → Watermark drop-down menu → Insert Watermark

  1. Open the document and go to the Page tab.
  2. Click the Watermark drop-down menu and select Insert Watermark.
  3. In the dialog box, choose Image watermark.
  4. Click Select Picture and upload a local image file.
  5. Set the image scaling ratio.
  6. Turn the washout effect on or off as needed.
  7. Click OK to apply the image watermark.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected image appears as a page-background watermark.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing the document and save the result.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the image file is not ready in advance, the insertion process may be interrupted.

4. Remove a watermark

Entry path: Page tab → Watermark

  1. Open the document that already contains a watermark.
  2. Click the Page tab.
  3. Open the Watermark menu.
  4. Select Remove Watermark.
  5. Check the page background to confirm that the watermark is gone.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The previous watermark no longer appears in the document pages.
  • Next action available: You can save a clean version or add a different watermark.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you remove the watermark but do not save the file, reopening the document may still show the earlier version.
