1. Set page layout
Entry: Page tab → Page Setup arrow → Layout tab
- Click the Page Setup arrow on the Page tab to open the Page Setup dialog.
- Open the Layout tab in the dialog.
- Set the options you need, including Section start, Headers and footers, From edge, and Apply to.
- Click OK to apply the settings.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the layout settings in Page Setup are updated.
- Next action available: you can continue editing the document and review the updated header, footer, or section effect.
Tips While Using
- Layout settings usually take effect by section, so different sections can use different settings.
- Different odd and even pages is commonly used for double-sided document formatting.
- Before choosing Apply to, confirm whether the setting should affect the whole document, selected text, or content after the insertion point.
