1. Insert a Chart

Entry: Insert → Chart

  1. Place the cursor where you want to insert the chart.
  2. Click the Chart button on the Insert tab.
  3. In the dialog box, select a chart type and subtype.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Enter or revise data in the pop-up data sheet.
  6. Close the data sheet to finish creating the chart.

  • A new chart appears in the document.
  • The chart remains in place after the data sheet is closed.

2. Edit Chart Data

3. Edit Chart Data from the Right-Click Menu

Entry: Right-click chart → Edit Data

  1. Right-click the target chart.
  2. Select Edit Data from the menu.
  3. Revise the content in the pop-up data sheet.
  4. Close the sheet and confirm that the chart updates.

  • The Edit Data command is available in the right-click menu.
  • The chart changes after the data is revised.

4. Change Chart Type

Entry: Chart Tools → Change Type

  1. Select the inserted chart.
