Why does Different First Page seem to do nothing?
- Make sure the document has at least two pages so you can compare the first page with later pages.
- Double-click the header or footer area and confirm that Different First Page is selected.
- Edit the first page and the remaining pages separately instead of only turning on the option.
Why do headers in different sections change together?
- Check whether you inserted a Next Page Section Break instead of a normal page break.
- Enter header and footer editing mode for the new section.
- Turn off Same as Previous or Link to Previous before editing the current section.
What should I do if the header line will not go away?
- Confirm whether the line comes from the Header Line feature or from a paragraph border.
- If it comes from the header line feature, enter header editing mode and choose Delete Line from the Header Line menu.
- If it comes from a paragraph border, select the paragraph and remove the border from the border settings.
Why did the header or footer suddenly disappear?
- Double-click the top or bottom edge of the page to show the header or footer area again.
