1. Insert Attachments
Entry point: Insert → Attachments
- Place the cursor where you want to insert the attachment.
- Click the Insert tab on the top menu bar.
- Click the Attachments button.
- In the pop-up options, select the insertion method you need.
- Select the target file or continue with the next settings to finish insertion.

- UI state: An attachment icon, object preview, imported text, or signature content appears in the document.

- Common mistakes: If you do not place the cursor first, the attachment may be inserted in an unexpected position.

2. Understand the Four Insertion Methods
Entry point: Insert → Attachments
- Open the Attachments entry.
- Review the available methods: Attachment, Object, Text from File, and Signature.
- When you choose Attachment, the file is usually shown as an icon and is suitable for keeping the original file format.
- When you choose Object, the file content preview can be shown directly, such as the first page of a PDF.
- When you choose Text from File, the file content can be imported as text into the current document.
- When you choose Signature, a signature can be inserted as an image into the document.

- UI state: You can clearly identify the display result of each insertion method.
- Next actions: You can choose the most suitable method based on the document goal.

3. Open and Edit Attachments
Entry point: An attachment icon or object preview in the document
- Find the inserted attachment icon or object preview in the document.
- Double-click the attachment icon or object preview.
- Wait for WPS or the related program to open the attachment.
- After editing, save the changes. The updated content will be stored in the current document.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The attachment opens normally and enters an editable state.
- Next actions: After saving, you can return to the original document and continue working.
- No side effects: The original file is not directly overwritten by editing inside the document.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If the related program is not installed, some objects may not launch normally.

4. Delete Attachments
Entry point: Select an attachment object in the document
- Click the attachment icon or object in the document to select it.
- Press the Delete key to remove the attachment.
- Check whether the document layout needs further adjustment.

- UI state: The attachment object is removed from the document.
- Next actions: You can continue editing the text or insert another attachment.
Tips While Using
