1. Enable Spell Check

Entry point: Review tab → Spell Check

  1. Open the text document that you want to review.
  2. Click the Review tab.
  3. Click Spell Check.
  4. Wait for the app to check the document for spelling errors automatically.
  5. Review the content marked with a red wavy underline.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: Misspelled content is marked with a red wavy underline in the document.
  • Next actions: You can click a marked word to view suggestions and continue correcting it.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If no document is open first, you cannot enter the actual checking workflow.
  • Environment limits: This feature needs to be used in an editable text document.

2. Correct Spelling Errors

Entry point: Left-click a word with a red wavy underline

  1. Find a word marked with a red wavy underline in the document.
  2. Left-click the marked word.
  3. Review the correction suggestions provided by the system.
  4. Click the correct spelling to replace the word.
  5. If the current word does not need action, choose Always Ignore.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The incorrect word is replaced with the selected suggestion, or it is set to be ignored.
  • Next actions: You can continue processing the next marked error.
  • No side effects: Other unselected content in the document remains unchanged.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: Replacing a word without checking the context may result in an inaccurate meaning.
  • Environment limits: Review each suggestion before applying it.

3. Recheck Ignored Words

Entry point: Review tab → Recheck Ignored Words

  1. Open the document that you want to review again.
  2. Click the Review tab.
  3. Click Spell Check.
  4. Trigger a new check for words that were previously set to Always Ignore.
  5. Confirm that previously ignored content is marked again with a red wavy underline.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: Previously ignored content appears again with a red wavy underline.
  • Next actions: You can choose to replace, ignore, or keep the original word again.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: Rechecking does not replace content automatically; you still need to confirm each change manually.
  • Environment limits: This action only affects content that was ignored earlier.
