1. Insert Shape
Entry path: Tools > Insert > Shape
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Select the Insert tab.
- Tap Shape.
- Choose the shape and style you want, or tap the freehand drawing button to draw a shape.
Success Criteria
- On-screen result: The selected shape or freehand drawing appears in the document.
- What you can do next: You can continue adjusting the position or double-tap the shape to enter text.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not open the Insert tab first, you may not see Shape.
- Environment note: Open an editable document before starting the insertion steps.
2. Delete Shape
Entry path: Select shape > Delete
- Tap the shape you want to remove in the document.
- Tap Delete.
- If a floating toolbar appears, you can tap Delete there directly.
- If the current screen shows a ribbon or drawing-related tools, you can also use the available Delete command there.
Success Criteria
- On-screen result: The selected shape disappears from the document.
- What you can do next: You can continue editing other content or insert a new shape again.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the shape is not selected first, the delete command will not affect the target object.
- Environment note: This action removes the currently selected shape only, so confirm the target before deleting.
