How-to Guide
1. Insert a Web Link
Entry: Insert tab → Link, or press Command + K
- Click the Insert tab and choose Link.
- Enter the website URL in the address field.
- Enter the link name in the text field.
- Click OK to finish.
Success Check
- Interface result: The selected text appears as a clickable link.
- Next action: You can click the link to open the target webpage.
Notes
- Common issue: If the URL is incomplete, the link may not open correctly.
- Environment note: Opening an external webpage requires a network connection.
2. Insert a Bookmark Link
Entry: Insert tab → Link → Bookmark
- Click the Insert tab and choose Link → Bookmark.
- Select an existing bookmark in the document.
- Enter the display name in the text field.
- Click OK to finish.
- Click the link in the document to jump to the bookmark.
Success Check
- Interface result: A clickable bookmark link appears in the document.
- Next action: Clicking it jumps to the selected bookmark location.
Notes
- Common issue: If no bookmark was created in advance, there may be no selectable item in the list.
3. Insert a Link to the Top of the Document or a Heading
Entry: Insert tab → Link → Top of Document/Heading
- Click the Insert tab and choose Link → Top of Document/Heading.
- Select an existing heading or the top of the document.
- Enter the display name in the text field.
- Click OK to finish.
- Click the link in the document to jump to the selected location.
Success Check
- Interface result: A clickable internal navigation link appears in the document.
- Next action: Clicking it jumps to the top of the document or the selected heading.
Notes
- Common issue: If the target content does not use heading structure, the heading list may be incomplete.
4. Insert a Link from the Home Tab
Entry: Home tab → Insert → Link
- On the Home tab, click Insert → Link.
- Choose one type: Link, Bookmark, or Top of Document/Heading.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the insertion.
Success Check
- Interface result: The link insertion panel opens normally.
- Next action: You can continue with the selected link type.
Notes
- Common issue: If text is not selected first, you may need to enter the display name again.
5. Edit or Remove a Link
Entry: Right-click the link → Hyperlink → Edit Link or Remove Link
- Right-click an existing link.
- Choose Edit Link to change the link address.
- Choose Remove Link to delete the link and keep the text.
Success Check
- Interface result: After editing, the link address is updated; after removal, the text returns to plain text.
- Next action: You can insert a new link again if needed.
Notes
- Common issue: After removing a link, only the text remains and the jump target is no longer kept.
