1. Insert a Divider

Entry point:

• Home → Insert → Divider
• Insert → Divider

1. Place the cursor where you want to insert the divider.
2. Click the Insert drop-down on the Home tab, or open the Insert tab directly.
3. Select Divider.
4. Choose the divider style you want.
5. Click to insert a horizontal divider line into the document.

Success Criteria

• A horizontal divider appears at the current cursor position.
• The divider is displayed on its own line.
• You can continue editing the document after insertion.

Tips While Using

• A divider occupies a full line and cannot stay on the same line as text.
• Confirm the cursor position before you insert the divider.

2. Change Divider Color

Entry point: Insert → Divider → Divider Color

1. Select the divider that has already been inserted.
2. Click Divider on the Insert tab.
3. Select Divider Color.
4. Choose a standard color, or click Other Colors to set an RGB value.
5. Confirm the selection to apply the new color to the current divider.

Success Criteria

• The selected divider changes color.

• The default color is black.

3. Delete a Divider

Entry point: Right-click menu → Delete

1. Select the inserted divider.
2. Right-click the divider to open the floating menu.
3. Select Delete.
4. Check that the divider has been removed from the document.

• The target divider disappears from the document.
• The rest of the document remains editable.

Tips While Using

• Make sure the correct divider is selected before deletion.
