1. Insert a Text Comment

Entry path: Tools → Insert → Comment

1. Select the text or paragraph where you want to add a comment.
2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
3. Open the Insert tab.
4. Tap Comment.
5. Tap the text icon at the top.
6. Enter your comment in the input box.
7. Tap Send to finish.

Success Criteria

• A comment marker appears on the selected text.
• The comment content can be opened from the related text position.

Tips While Using

• In editing mode, you can also open the insert entry at the bottom and then go to Comment directly.

2. Insert a Voice Comment

Entry path: Tools → Insert → Comment

1. Select the text or paragraph where you want to add a comment.
2. Tap Tools at the bottom.
3. Open the Insert tab.
4. Tap Comment.
5. Tap the voice icon at the top.
6. Press and hold the blue microphone icon to record your voice message.
7. Tap Send when finished.

Success Criteria

• A new voice comment is created on the selected text.
• The related voice comment can be opened from the comment marker.

Tips While Using

• A quieter environment can help make voice feedback clearer for later playback.

3. View Comments

Entry path: Tools → Review → Show Comments

1. Tap Tools at the bottom.
2. Open the Review tab.
3. Turn on Show Comments.
4. Tap text that already has a comment.
5. Review the comment content.

Success Criteria

• Existing comments are visible in the document.
• Tapping commented text opens the related comment details.

4. View Comments in Traditional Mode

Entry path: Tools → Review → Traditional Mode for Comments and Revisions

1. Tap Tools at the bottom.
2. Open the Review tab.
3. Turn on Traditional Mode for Comments and Revisions.
4. Check the comment display panel on the right side of the editing area.

Success Criteria

• A side area for comments and revisions appears.
• Existing comments can be reviewed in the side panel.

5. Edit or Delete a Comment

Entry path: Tools → Review → Show Comments → Select Comment → More

1. In the Review tab, turn on Show Comments.
2. Tap text that already has a comment.
3. In the comment box, tap the more options button.
4. Tap Edit to update the existing text comment.
5. Tap Delete to remove the current comment.
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to finish.

Success Criteria

• After editing, the comment shows the updated content.
• After deletion, the current comment is removed from the document.

Tips While Using

• Voice comments can be deleted, but they cannot be edited.
• Replying to a comment creates another comment for the current text.

6. Edit a Comment in Traditional Mode

Entry path: Tools → Review → Traditional Mode for Comments and Revisions → Double-tap Comment

1. In the Review tab, turn on Traditional Mode for Comments and Revisions.
2. Find the comment you want to change in the side panel.
3. Double-tap the comment to enter editing mode.
4. Edit the content and tap OK.

Success Criteria

• The comment content in the side panel is updated.
• The related comment in the document shows the revised content.

Tips While Using

• If you tap the voice icon beside the input box while editing, WPS adds a new voice comment instead.

7. Delete a Comment in Traditional Mode

Entry path: Tools → Review → Traditional Mode for Comments and Revisions → Select Comment → Delete

1. In the Review tab, turn on Traditional Mode for Comments and Revisions.
2. In the side panel, tap the comment you want to remove.
3. Tap Delete.
4. Finish the deletion.

Success Criteria

• The selected comment disappears from both the side list and the document.

Tips While Using

• Before deleting in traditional mode, confirm that the selected comment is the one you want to remove.
