1. Insert Date and Time
Entry path:
- Option 1: Insert tab → Date
- Option 2: Home tab → Insert → Date
- Place the cursor where you want to insert the date.
- Click Date on the Insert tab, or click Insert → Date on the Home tab.
- Browse the available date formats in the drop-down menu.
- Select the format you want to insert it.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected date format appears at the cursor position.
- What you can do next: You can continue editing the document or insert other content.
Tips While Using
- If the cursor is not placed in the target location, the date will be inserted at the current cursor position.
- The inserted result depends on the selected format, so it is helpful to confirm the required style first.
2. Set Date Format
Entry path: Drop-down menu on the right side of the inserted date control
- Click the inserted date control.
- Click the drop-down arrow on the right side of the date control to open the menu.
- Select the date content or date style you want.
- If needed, turn on Lunar Calendar to show the corresponding lunar date in the calendar.
- If needed, turn on Insert Lunar Date to display lunar date information inside the control.
- If needed, turn on Set Time to display the selected time inside the control.
- Click Modify Calendar Format to choose a preset format.
- Click elsewhere in the editing area to apply the updated settings.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The date control shows the updated date, lunar date, or time information.
- What you can do next: You can continue editing the document or reopen the menu to adjust the style again.
