1. Insert an Endnote
Entry path: Tools → Insert → Endnote
- Tap where you want to insert the endnote.
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Select the Insert tab.
- Tap Endnote.
- An endnote input area appears at the end of the document with automatic numbering.
- Enter the endnote content, then tap the document body to finish.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new endnote area and its number appear at the end of the document.
- What you can do next: You can continue entering endnote content or return to the main text.
Tips While Using
- Endnotes appear at the end of the document, not at the bottom of the current page.
- If you add or delete endnotes, numbering updates automatically.
2. Insert a Footnote
Entry path: Tools → Insert → Footnote
- Tap where you want to insert the footnote.
- Tap Tools at the bottom.
- Select the Insert tab.
- Tap Footnote.
- A footnote input area appears at the bottom of the page with automatic numbering.
- Enter the footnote content, then tap the document body to finish.

3. View a Footnote
Entry path: Tap a footnote number in the body text
- While reading the document, tap a footnote number in the main text.
- The document jumps to the related footnote at the bottom of the page.
- After checking the note, return to the main text or continue reading.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The page moves to the related footnote area.
- What you can do next: After viewing the note, you can return to reading or editing.
Tips While Using
- This action is for viewing an existing footnote and does not create a new note.
- In a long document, you can scroll back to the main text after the jump.
