1. Switch Continuous Page View from the View tab

Entry: View tab → Continuous Page

  1. Open the Writer document that you want to view.
  2. Click the View tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click Continuous Page.
  4. The document is displayed as continuous pages.
  5. To exit this mode, click Continuous Page again.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The blank space between pages is hidden, and the document appears in a continuous scrolling view.
  • What you can do next: You can keep reading, editing, scrolling, or switch to another view.
  • No side effect: The document’s actual page break settings do not change.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: It is easy to think Continuous Page View changes print pagination, but it only changes the current display mode.

2. Switch Continuous Page View from the status bar

Entry: Lower-left corner of the status bar → Continuous Page

  1. Open a Writer document and look at the status bar at the bottom of the window.
  2. Find the Continuous Page button in the lower-left corner.
  3. Click Continuous Page to enter this mode.
  4. Click the same button again if you want to return to the previous display mode.

  • Interface result: After you click the button, the document switches to continuous page display.

  4. Choose a zoom level that fits your reading or editing needs.
