When using WPS Bold, common questions usually involve visible formatting changes, text selection, and style consistency; this FAQ includes 3 common questions and a 3-term glossary.
FAQ
Why does the text not look very different after I apply bold?
- Make sure the text was selected correctly before you tapped the bold control.
- Check whether the current font already has a heavier appearance, which can make the visual change less obvious.
- Try switching to a font with a clearer weight difference, then apply bold again.
Why can’t I find the bold button?
- Make sure the document is already in editing mode.
- After selecting text, check the Tools or Format entry points at the bottom.
- If you want to use the floating menu, long press the text first and drag the selection handles to create a text selection.
Does bold affect content outside the selected text?
- Bold only applies to the text that is currently selected.
- If you select multiple parts at once, bold is applied to all selected content together.
- If you want part of the text to return to regular weight, select that part again and tap the B icon.
