How-to Guide
1. Left Align
Entry point: Home → Left Align
- Select the paragraph you want to format, or place the cursor inside the target paragraph.
- Click Left Align on the Home tab.
Success Criteria
- The left edge of the paragraph lines up with the left text boundary.
- New text continues in left alignment.
Tips While Using
- Alignment is applied at the paragraph level, so confirm the cursor position first.
- If multiple paragraphs are selected, the setting is applied to all selected paragraphs.
2. Center Align
Entry point: Home → Center Align
- Select the paragraph you want to format, or place the cursor inside the target paragraph.
- Click Center Align on the Home tab.
Success Criteria
- The paragraph appears in the middle of the available line width.
- A title or short line looks visually centered.
Tips While Using
- Center alignment is more suitable for titles, cover text, or short paragraphs.
- Indentation settings can also affect the final visual position.
3. Right Align
Entry point: Home → Right Align

6. Set Alignment from the Floating Toolbar
Entry point: Select text → Floating Toolbar → Alignment
- Select the text content you want to adjust.
- Click Alignment on the floating toolbar.
- Choose the alignment option you need.
Success Criteria
- The paragraph containing the selected text changes to the chosen alignment.
- You can finish the change without returning to the fixed toolbar.
