Why does nothing seem to change after I tap an alignment button?

1. Check whether the cursor is inside the target paragraph or whether the correct paragraphs are selected.
2. Make sure the document is in an editable state.
3. Try a more obvious change, such as switching from left align to center, and then review the page again.

Does alignment apply to selected text or to the whole paragraph?

1. Alignment is a paragraph formatting feature.
2. When the cursor is inside one paragraph, the setting applies to that paragraph.
3. When multiple paragraphs are selected, the setting applies to all of those paragraphs.

What is the difference between justify and left align?

1. Left align keeps the left edge of the paragraph even while the right edge wraps naturally.
2. Justify tries to keep both the left and right edges of the paragraph even.
3. In many body-text layouts, justify can make the page look more uniform.

Why do multiple paragraphs change when I only edit one place?

1. Check whether multiple paragraphs were selected before you changed the alignment.
2. If the current selection covers several paragraphs, the alignment setting applies to all of them.
3. If you only want to change one paragraph, place the cursor inside that paragraph only and try again.
