When using Alignment, common questions usually involve where to find the feature, why the effect looks subtle, and how to update multiple paragraphs; this section includes 3 frequent questions and a short glossary.

FAQ

Why can’t I find the alignment options?

  1. Confirm that you opened an editable WPS Writer document.
  2. Tap Tools in the document view.
  3. Open the Home tab and look for the Paragraph area.
  4. If the buttons still do not appear, update WPS Office and reopen the document.

Why does the alignment change look small?

  1. Check whether the current paragraph is very short.
  2. Try switching to a longer body paragraph and compare the result again.
  3. For Justify or Distributed, longer paragraphs usually show the difference more clearly.
  4. Confirm that the cursor is in the target paragraph or that the target content is selected.

Can I change the alignment of multiple paragraphs at once?

  1. Select multiple related paragraphs in the document.
  2. Tap Tools and open the Home tab.
  3. In the Paragraph area, tap the alignment option you want.
  4. Check whether all selected paragraphs were updated together.
