1. Apply Preset Shape Styles

Entry: Drawing Tools tab → dropdown button on the right side of Shape Style

1. Select the shape that you want to format.
2. Click the Drawing Tools tab at the top of the window.
3. In the Shape Style area, click a preset style to apply it quickly.
4. If needed, choose Theme Colors to switch the preset color scheme.
5. If you want more detailed adjustments, open More Settings to use the object properties pane on the right.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The selected shape changes to the new preset style.
• Next action available: You can continue editing color, outline, or other effects.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If no shape is selected first, the style command will not affect the target object.

2. Customize Shape Styles

Entry: Drawing Tools tab → Shape Style area → Shape Fill / Shape Outline / Effects

1. Select the shape that you want to format.
2. Click the Drawing Tools tab.
3. Click Shape Fill to set the fill color or other fill appearance.
4. Click Shape Outline to set the border color, width, or line style.
5. Click Effects to add a visual effect to the shape.
6. If you want to reuse the current look later, right-click the shape and set it as the default shape style.
