How-to Guide
1. Change Shape
Entry path: Drawing Tools tab → Shape Editing area → Edit Shape
- Select the shape that you want to edit.
- Click the Drawing Tools tab at the top.
- Click Edit Shape.
- Select Change Shape.
- Choose the target preset shape from the list.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected shape changes to the new preset shape.
- What you can do next: You can continue adjusting the size, position, and style of the shape.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If no shape is selected first, the related command may be unavailable.
- Environment note: A shape object must already exist on the slide.
2. Edit Shape Vertices
Entry path: Drawing Tools tab → Shape Editing area → Edit Shape → Edit Vertices
- Select the shape whose vertices you want to edit.
- Click the Drawing Tools tab.
- Click Edit Shape.
- Select Edit Vertices to enter vertex editing mode.
- Drag a vertex or control point to adjust the outline.
- Click outside the shape or continue with another action to finish the current adjustment.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The shape outline changes based on the drag result.
- What you can do next: You can continue refining vertices, apply styles, or save the file.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not enter Edit Vertices mode first, you cannot directly reshape the outline.

3. Right-Click Menu Access
Entry path: Shape right-click menu → Edit Vertices / Change Shape
- Select the shape that you want to adjust.
- Right-click the shape.
- Choose Edit Vertices to enter vertex editing mode, or choose Change Shape to select another shape style.
- Complete the outline adjustment or shape replacement as needed.
