1. Insert a Text Box Control
Entry: Developer → Control Toolbox → Text Box
- Click the Developer tab at the top of the window.
- In Control Toolbox, select Text Box.
- Drag on the slide canvas to draw the text box control.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A visible text box control area appears on the current slide.
- Next action available: You can select the control and continue to edit its properties.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not drag on the slide canvas, the control may not appear with a visible size.
- Environment note: Open an editable slide in WPS Presentation before starting.
2. Set Common Text Box Control Properties
Entry: Select the text box control → Control Properties
- Select the inserted text box control.
- Click Control Properties.
- Find Text in the properties panel and set the initial content.
- Find Name in the properties panel and set the control name.
- Find MaxLength in the properties panel and set the maximum number of input characters.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The related property values are updated in the properties panel.

Tips While Using
