Does text selection translation require an internet connection?

  1. Yes. Text selection translation requires an internet connection.
  2. If no result appears, first check whether your phone is connected to the internet.
  3. After the connection is restored, select the text again and tap Translate.

Why can't I see the Translate button after selecting text?

  1. Make sure the document is open in a mode where text can be selected in WPS collaborative text mode.
  2. Press and hold again to select a word or sentence, then wait for the floating toolbar.
  3. If the button still does not appear, update WPS Office and reopen the document.

Will translation replace the original text directly?

  1. No.
  2. The translation result is shown only in a pop-up panel for viewing.
  3. When you return to the document, the original text remains unchanged.

What kind of content can I translate?

  1. You can translate selected words, short phrases, or sentences in the document.
  2. Select the text you want to understand, then tap Translate.
  3. If you want to view another language, switch the language in the translation panel.
