1. Add Strikethrough

Feature entry: Home tab → Strikethrough

  1. Open the text document you want to edit.
  2. Select the text that you want to format.
  3. Click the Home tab.
  4. Click Strikethrough.
  5. A single line appears through the selected text.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A single line appears through the middle of the selected text.

Tips While Using

  • Strikethrough does not delete the original text. It only changes the display style.

2. Add Strikethrough through Text Properties

Feature entry: Home tab → Text Properties drop-down menu → Text Properties → Text tab → Strikethrough

  1. Open the text document and select the target text.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Open the Text Properties drop-down menu and select Text Properties.
  4. In the task pane on the right, switch to the Text tab.
  5. Click Strikethrough.
  6. The selected text shows the strikethrough effect.

3. Remove Strikethrough
