1. Apply italic from the toolbar
Entry path: Edit mode > Tools > Home > Italic
- Select the text that you want to format in italic.
- Tap Tools in the bottom toolbar.
- Open the Home tab.
- Tap the I icon to apply italic formatting.
- If you want to remove italic, tap the same icon again.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: The selected text appears in an italic style.
- Next action available: You can continue typing, editing, or saving the document.
Tips While Using
- Some Chinese fonts may show a less obvious italic effect than Latin fonts.
- Select the text first, then tap the italic button.
2. Apply italic from the text selection formatting entry
Entry path: Edit mode > Long press text > Format > Home > Italic
- In edit mode, tap the text that you want to adjust.
- Long press and drag the selection handles to set the text range.
- In the floating toolbar, tap Format.
- In the Home tab, tap the I icon.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: The selected text changes to italic.
- Next action available: You can continue adjusting other formatting or save the document.
Tips While Using
- If the selected range is very small, you may need to tap the text again to show the floating toolbar.
- If the document is not in edit mode, some formatting buttons may be unavailable.
