1. Enter Design Mode

Feature access: Developer tab → Design Mode

1. Open the WPS Writer document that you want to edit.
2. Click the Developer tab on the ribbon.
3. Click Design Mode.
4. Start editing the content controls in the document.

• Interface result: The document is now in a state where content controls can be edited.
• Next action available: You can select a content control and continue adjusting its settings.

• Common mistake: If you do not open the Developer tab first, you may not find the Design Mode entry.

2. Edit Controls in Design Mode

Feature access: Developer tab → Design Mode

1. Enter Design Mode first.
2. Select the content control that you want to edit.
3. Modify the control properties and settings.
4. Click Design Mode again to exit the editing state.

• Interface result: The selected control settings have been updated.
• Next action available: You can exit Design Mode and continue testing or filling out the document.
