1. Open Control Properties

Entry path: Developer → Design Mode → Control Properties

1. Open a WPS Writer document that contains a content control.
2. Click the Developer tab.
3. Click Design Mode so the document is ready for control editing.
4. Select the content control you want to edit.
5. Click Control Properties to open the dialog box.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The Control Properties dialog box opens.
• What you can do next: You can continue setting the title, tag, color, style, and locking options.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If Design Mode is not enabled, Control Properties may not be available.
• Environment note: This feature is not supported in WPS versions on mobile devices.

2. Set Basic Control Properties

Entry path: Developer → Design Mode → Control Properties

1. In Design Mode, select the target content control.
2. Click Control Properties to open the dialog box.
3. Set the control title.
4. Set the tag text.
5. Set the display color for the control.
6. Choose a preset style or a custom style as needed.
7. Set whether the control content should be locked.
8. Click OK to save the settings.
