How-to Guide
1. Open Control Properties
Entry path: Developer → Design Mode → Control Properties
- Open a WPS Writer document that contains a content control.
- Click the Developer tab.
- Click Design Mode so the document is ready for control editing.
- Select the content control you want to edit.
- Click Control Properties to open the dialog box.

- Interface result: The Control Properties dialog box opens.

Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If Design Mode is not enabled, Control Properties may not be available.

2. Set Basic Control Properties
Entry path: Developer → Design Mode → Control Properties
- In Design Mode, select the target content control.
- Click Control Properties to open the dialog box.
- Set the control title.
- Set the tag text.
- Set the display color for the control.
- Choose a preset style or a custom style as needed.
- Set whether the control content should be locked.
- Click OK to save the settings.
