1. Open System Preview Pane Settings
Entry: Global Settings button → Settings → System Preview Pane Settings
- Open the WPS client.
- Click the Global Settings button in the upper-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Under the Workspace group, find System Preview Pane Settings and open it.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The System Preview Pane Settings page is open.
- Next action available: You can see the Preview File Formats area and continue adjusting switches.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not enter the Settings page first, you may not see the Workspace group.
- Environment note: This feature is intended for Windows File Explorer preview scenarios.
2. Configure Preview File Formats
Entry: System Preview Pane Settings page → Preview File Formats area
- Open the System Preview Pane Settings page.
- In the Preview File Formats area, turn on the switches you need.
- You can enable Document Preview, Spreadsheet Preview, Presentation Preview, PDF Preview, and Image Preview as needed.
- Turn on the preview pane in Windows File Explorer.
- Select a file in an enabled format and view its content in the preview area.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The switches for the selected formats are turned on.
- Next action available: After you select a file in File Explorer, its content can appear in the preview pane.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you only enable the switches in WPS but do not turn on the preview pane in File Explorer, you will not see the preview result.
- Environment note: Only enabled file formats can be previewed through the system preview pane.
