When using Modify View Name, the most common questions fall into 3 areas: whether data changes, whether collaborators can see the update, and why the new name does not appear right away.
FAQ
Does modifying a view name change the data?
- Open the view that you want to rename.
- Complete the rename steps and save the change.
- Return to the table and check the data, filters, and sort settings.
Changing a view name only updates the display name. It does not change the data, filter conditions, or sort settings in that view.
Can other collaborators see the new view name?
- Rename the view in the shared table.
- Keep the device connected and allow time for sync.
- Ask collaborators to reopen the table or switch to that view.
In collaborative use, the updated view name can sync to other collaborators so everyone can work with the same view label.
Why don't I see the new name after tapping √?
- Make sure you entered a new view name.
- Confirm that you tapped √ to save the change.
- If the table is shared, keep the network connection active and reopen the current view.
If the name does not update, the usual causes are that the change was not fully saved or sync has not finished yet.
