1. Rename from the More Options menu
Entry: Left sidebar in the multidimensional table → More Options → Rename
- Open the target multidimensional table and find the table, view, or dashboard you want to rename in the left sidebar.
- Click the More Options button next to that item.
- Select Rename.
- When the name becomes editable, type the new name.
- Press Enter to save the change.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the old name changes to the new name in the sidebar.
- Next action available: you can continue opening or editing the renamed item.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: clicking the More Options button for the wrong item changes the wrong target.
- Environment note: if you do not have editing permission, the rename action may not be available.
2. Rename by double-clicking the name
Entry: Left sidebar in the multidimensional table → Double-click the item name
- Open the target multidimensional table and locate the table, view, or dashboard in the left sidebar.
- Double-click the current name.
- When the name becomes editable, type the new name.
- Click a blank area or press Enter to finish the rename.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the updated name appears in the left sidebar.
- Next action available: you can switch to or edit the item immediately.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: a single click usually selects the item but does not enter name editing.
- Environment note: duplicate names may not be accepted in the same multidimensional table.
