How-to Guide

1. Rename from the More Options menu

Entry: Left datasheet sidebar → More Options → Rename

  1. Open the target multidimensional table.
  2. In the left datasheet sidebar, find the datasheet, view, or dashboard you want to rename.
  3. Click the More Options button on the right side of the target item.
  4. Select Rename from the menu.
  5. When the name becomes editable, enter the new name.
  6. Press Enter to confirm the change.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The original name changes to the new name.
  • What you can do next: You can continue opening, switching, or managing the item.
  • No side effect: Other items are not renamed at the same time.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: You may click the More Options button for the wrong item, so confirm the target name first.
  • Environment note: If you do not have edit permission, the rename may not be completed.

2. Rename by double-clicking the name

Entry: Left datasheet sidebar → Double-click the item name

  1. Open the target multidimensional table.
  2. In the left datasheet sidebar, find the datasheet, view, or dashboard you want to rename.
  3. Double-click the target name directly.
  4. When the name becomes editable, enter the new name.
  5. Click a blank area or press Enter to finish renaming.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The left sidebar shows the new item name.
  • What you can do next: You can continue switching to that datasheet, view, or dashboard.
  • No side effect: Other names in the current multidimensional table stay unchanged.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: A single click may only select the item instead of entering edit mode.
  • Environment note: In collaborative work, it helps to confirm naming rules before changing names.
