Rename Data Table in WPS on Android FAQ

Last updated:July 23, 2026

When using Rename Data Table, the most common questions are about whether data changes, whether collaborators can see the update, and why the rename option is missing; this FAQ includes 3 common questions and a glossary.

FAQ

Does renaming change the data inside the table?

  1. No. Renaming changes only the displayed name of the data table or dashboard.
  2. The data, fields, and existing content inside the page stay the same.
  3. Open the page again after renaming if you want to confirm the content is unchanged.

Can other collaborators see the new name after I rename it?

  1. Yes. The updated name is used in later collaboration views.
  2. Ask collaborators to refresh or reopen the table to check the latest tab name.
  3. If many people work in the same table, use a shared naming rule so pages are easier to identify.

Why can’t I find the Rename option?

  1. First confirm that you opened a multidimensional table and that data table or dashboard tabs are visible at the bottom.
  2. Double-tap the target tab instead of tapping it only once.
  3. If the option still does not appear, reopen the file and locate the target tab again.
