How-to Guide
1. Add a sort condition
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Filter → Sort → Add sort condition
- Open the data table you want to organize.
- Tap Filter on the bottom toolbar.
- In the pop-up panel, select Sort.
- Tap Add sort condition.
- Select the field you want to sort by.
- Choose Ascending or Descending.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Apply to finish.
Success Criteria
- The records in the current data table are reordered by the selected field.
- The sort panel shows the condition you added.
- The data itself remains unchanged.
Tips While Using
- Sorting changes only the display order and does not change the original data.
- Before choosing a field, confirm that its values are suitable for comparison and sorting.
2. Set multiple sort conditions
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Filter → Sort → Add sort condition
- Open the Sort panel by using the path above.
- Tap Add sort condition and set the first field and order.
- Tap Add sort condition again.
- Select the second field and its order.
- Continue adding more conditions if needed.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Apply to make all conditions take effect together.
Success Criteria
- The sort panel shows two or more sort conditions.
- Records are reordered by condition priority.
- Records with the same primary sort value continue to be organized by later conditions.
Tips While Using
- Multiple sort conditions take effect in the order they are added.
- If you use many conditions, set the main field first and then add secondary fields.
3. Turn on Always sort by the following rules
Entry path: Bottom toolbar → Filter → Sort
- Open the data table and enter the Sort panel.
- Add at least one sort condition first.
- Turn on Always sort by the following rules.
- Tap Apply to save the setting.
- After new or updated records appear, check whether they return to the expected position automatically.
Success Criteria
- The current records stay in the selected order after the rule is saved.
- New records move into the expected position after they are saved.
- You do not need to repeat the same sorting action each time.
Tips While Using
- If record order needs to stay consistent over time, this option is useful.
- If you want to review the original arrival order temporarily, first check whether persistent sorting is turned on.
4. Manually drag a record to a new position
Entry path: Select a record and long-press to drag
- Select the record you want to move.
- Long-press the record.
- Drag it to the target position.
- Release your finger to finish.
Success Criteria
- The record moves to the new display position.
- Other records adjust around the moved record.
- The table can still be filtered or sorted afterward.
Tips While Using
- Manual dragging works well for temporary adjustments to a small number of records.
- If persistent sorting is already turned on, later updates may still reorder records by the saved rules.
