  1. Open a data table that already contains a rich text field.
  2. Tap the column header and choose Edit in the floating toolbar.
  3. In the field editing window, tap the target Rich Text field.
  4. Enter text in the editing box.
  5. Use the editing toolbar as needed to adjust formatting such as bold, italic, font size, color, numbering, or images.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: The field shows the updated text and formatting.
  • Next action available: You can continue reviewing, editing again, or switching to another record.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you close the editor too quickly, you may need to reopen the field and check the final layout.
  • Environment note: Android is more suitable for viewing and simple edits when the content is complex.

3. Choose Between Rich Text and Plain Text Fields

Entry: Field type selection screen

  1. Open the data table and enter the field editing window.
  2. Review the available field type options.
  3. Select Text when you only need plain text input.
  4. Select Rich Text when the content needs formatted layout.
  5. Decide based on whether the record needs emphasis, lists, or color styling.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: The field type is clearly chosen for the target column.
  • Next action available: Later entries can follow the capabilities of the selected field type.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Putting content that needs structured formatting into a plain text field can reduce readability.
