1. Create a number field
Entry: Tap the table header → Edit → Field Type → Number
- Tap the header that you want to configure.
- In the floating toolbar, tap Edit.
- In the field editing window, tap Field Type.
- Select Number.
- Enter the field name and confirm to finish the setup.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new number field column appears in the table.
- Next action available: You can enter numeric values in records under this field.
Tips While Using
- Use a clear field name such as Amount, Quantity, or Hours.
- If you need a currency symbol later, switch to a currency field when appropriate.
2. Enter numbers
Entry: Tap the target cell → Record details → Number field
- Tap the target cell to open the record details.
- Tap the number field that you want to fill in.
- Enter the numeric value.
- Return to the table to review the result.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The entered value appears in the number field.
- Next action available: The value can be used for filtering, summaries, or formula references.
Tips While Using
- Enter numeric content directly and avoid mixing notes into the value.
- Number display formatting is not adjusted on mobile at this time.
3. Use a number field in formulas
Entry: Add or edit a formula field in the multi-dimensional table
- Open the multi-dimensional table that contains the number field.
- Create a formula field or open an existing formula field for editing.
- Select the number field that you want to reference in the formula.
- Save the formula settings.
- Return to the table and review the calculated result.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The formula field returns a calculated result.
- Next action available: When the number field changes, the related result can update accordingly.
Tips While Using
- Keep the referenced field as a number type before using it in calculations.
- If the result looks incorrect, check the field type and entered values first.
