1. Add a Sankey Diagram component to a dashboard

Entry path: Dashboard interface → + Add Components → Chart → Sankey Diagram

1. Open the dashboard interface.
2. Click the + Add Components button in the upper-left area.
3. In the component panel, find Sankey Diagram under the Chart category.
4. Click Sankey Diagram to create a default chart component.
5. Click the component to enter edit mode and continue with data setup.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: A new Sankey Diagram component appears in the dashboard.
• Next action: You can open the edit panel and continue with data and style settings.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If you are not in a dashboard page, the add-component entry may not be available.

2. Edit or export a chart

Entry path: Click an existing chart → the ... icon in the upper-right area

1. Click the Sankey Diagram that has already been added to the dashboard.
2. Click the ... icon in the upper-right area of the chart to open the menu.
3. Choose Configure, Copy, Copy as Image, Export as Image, or Delete as needed.
4. Continue with the selected action.

• Interface result: The drop-down menu opens and shows the available actions.
• Next action: You can duplicate the chart, export an image, or reconfigure the chart.

• Common mistake: If the chart is not selected first, the action menu may be easy to miss.

3. Configure chart data

Entry path: Sankey Diagram edit panel → Type & Data tab

1. Open the Sankey Diagram edit panel.
2. In the Type & Data tab, choose the data source you want to use.
3. Click Data Filter to set the data range.
4. Set node categories, including the source field and target field.
5. Set node height to Count Records or Count Selected Field as needed.
6. Choose the sort method, either the default order or custom drag sorting.
7. Set the fields shown in detail data.
8. Check the preview on the left and click OK to apply the settings.

• Interface result: The preview updates as your settings change.
• Next action: After you click OK, the dashboard chart shows the updated data.

4. Set chart styles

Entry path: Sankey Diagram edit panel → Chart Style tab

1. Open the Sankey Diagram edit panel.
2. Switch to the Chart Style tab.
3. Choose a theme color and switch between preset color schemes.
4. Expand Node Color if you want to customize node colors.
5. Expand Chart Elements if you want to set data labels, label content, and label styles.
6. Check the preview on the left.
7. Click OK to save the style settings.
