1. Add a pie chart component to the dashboard
Entry path: Dashboard interface → + Add Component → Chart → Pie Chart
- Open the dashboard interface.
- Click the + Add Component button in the upper-left area.
- In the component panel, find Pie Chart under the Chart category.
- Click the icon to generate a default pie chart component.
- Click the component to enter edit mode and continue with data setup.

2. Edit or export a chart
Entry path: Click an existing chart → top-right ... icon
- Click the pie chart that has already been added to the dashboard.
- Click the top-right ... icon to open the menu.
- Choose Configure, Copy, Copy as Image, Export as Image, or Delete as needed.
- If you want to continue editing the chart, choose Configure.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The menu opens and shows the available actions.
- Next action available: You can copy, export, delete, or reconfigure the chart.
Tips While Using
- Confirm that the chart is no longer needed before deleting it.
- Before exporting as an image, check that the chart style and data already match the intended result.
3. Set chart type and data
Entry path: Pie Chart editing panel → Type and Data tab
- Open the pie chart editing panel.
- Select the data table in Data Source.
- In Data Range, click Data Filter to set filter conditions.
- In Slice Grouping, choose the field used to group slices.
- In Type, choose Pie Chart or Doughnut Chart.
- In Slice Value, choose Count Total Records or Count a Specific Field.
- Set the sorting basis and sorting order as needed.
- Adjust the fields shown in detailed data, then click OK to apply the settings.

- Interface result: The preview pane updates to reflect the new chart setup.
- Next action available: You can continue to style settings or return to the dashboard to review the result.

- Too many categories can reduce readability, so keep the main categories when possible.

4. Set chart style
Entry path: Pie Chart editing panel → Chart Style tab
- Open the pie chart editing panel and switch to the Chart Style tab.
- Choose a preset color scheme in Theme Color.
- Expand Series Color and adjust each series color as needed.
- Expand Chart Elements to set labels, legends, and other display items.
- Review the preview pane and click OK to confirm.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: Colors, labels, or legend styles update in the preview pane.
- Next action available: You can return to the dashboard and view the final display result.
Tips While Using
- Keep colors consistent with business categories so the chart is easier to read.
