1. Configure Gantt Fields
Entry path: Gantt view → bottom toolbar → Tools → Gantt Chart Settings
- Open the Gantt view.
- Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
- Select Gantt Chart Configuration.
- Set the Start Time field and choose the field that contains the start date.
- Set the End Time field and choose the field that contains the end date.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the selected start and end fields are shown in the Gantt Chart Settings panel.
- What you can do next: task bars in the Gantt view display correctly based on the date range.
Tips While Using
- Prepare at least one start-date field and one end-date field in advance.
- If the fields are not configured completely, the Gantt view may not display task duration as expected.
2. Adjust Task Timing
Entry path: Gantt view → press and drag a task bar
- In Gantt view, press and drag the left edge of a task bar to adjust the start date.
- Press and drag the right edge of a task bar to adjust the end date.
- Press and drag the middle of the task bar to move the whole task schedule.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the position or length of the task bar changes.
- What you can do next: the related date fields in the table update at the same time.
Tips While Using
- Dragging a task bar updates the date values in the source table.
- If the Gantt view is shared, collaborators can see the updated result.
