1. Set date fields
Entry: Gantt view top toolbar → Gantt Chart Configuration
- Switch to Gantt View in the left navigation pane.
- Click Gantt Chart Configuration in the top toolbar.
- In the configuration panel, open the Start Date Field drop-down list and select the date field used for the task start time.
- Open the End Date Field drop-down list and select the date field used for the task end time.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected start date field and end date field are shown in the configuration panel.
- Next action available: Task bars in the Gantt view display their time range based on the selected date fields.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you are not in Gantt View, the Gantt Chart Configuration entry is not shown.
- Environment note: If the table does not contain usable date fields, the available options in the drop-down lists are limited.
2. Set timeline color
Entry: Top toolbar → Gantt Chart Configuration → Timeline Color
- Click Gantt Chart Configuration in the top toolbar.
- Find the Timeline Color drop-down list at the bottom of the configuration panel.
- Select the color mode you want.
- If you choose Custom Color, select a display color from the palette. If you choose Follow Field Color, the timeline color follows the color already set in the field.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The timeline color updates based on the selected mode.
- Next action available: You can continue reviewing task-bar color changes and refine the current view.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: After choosing Follow Field Color, the effect may not be obvious if the related field has no color setting.
- Environment note: The color setting affects the display style of the current Gantt view.
