How-to Guide

1. Set a cell display mode

Entry point: Bottom Start menu → Wrap Text

  1. Select the cell or range where you want to change the display mode.
  2. Tap Start at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Find and tap the Wrap Text area in the expanded menu.
  4. Select one of the available display modes: Wrap, Truncate, or Overflow.
  5. Tap the option you want to apply it to the current selection immediately.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the selected cell content updates to the chosen display mode, such as multiple lines, truncated text, or overflow beyond the cell.
  • What you can do next: you can continue editing the cell, adjust column width, or save the file.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if no target cell is selected first, the display change may not apply where you expect.
  • Environment note: the visible result depends on the current column width and nearby cell content.
  • Usage tip: if you want to read long text without changing column width, try Wrap or Overflow first.
