1. Use the SEARCH function

Entry: Formulas tab → formula bar

  1. Open WPS Spreadsheet and select the cell where you want to enter the formula.
  2. Type = in the formula bar or directly in the cell.
  3. Type SEARCH( and review the syntax guidance that appears.
  4. Enter the required arguments based on the prompt, then press Enter.
  5. Check the returned calculation result in the cell.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: syntax guidance appears after you enter the function name.
  • Next action available: after you press Enter, the cell shows a calculation result.

Tips While Using
