  • Environment note: For online collaborative documents, keep the network connection stable.

2. Merge multiple worksheets for the first time

Entry path: Data tab → Merge Tables → Merge Tables

  1. Click Merge Tables to open the Merge Worksheets dialog box.
  2. Click the Select... link in the upper-right corner.
  3. In the file selector, choose one or more worksheets to merge.
  4. Set options as needed, including Worksheet contains headers, Header row count, Remove duplicate rows, Merge to, Mark data source, and Data auto update.
  5. Choose to output the merged result to a New worksheet or another target location.
  6. Click Start Merge to run the merge.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: WPS generates the merged result and shows the consolidated data in the target location.
  • What you can do next: You can review the result, save the document, or re-merge after source data changes.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If source worksheets have very different column structures, the merged result may become misaligned.
  • Environment note: If you want the result to stay in sync, turn on Data auto update during the first merge.

3. Re-merge an existing result

Entry path: Data tab → Merge Tables → Re-merge

  1. After the source worksheet data changes, open the document that needs to be refreshed.
  2. Click the Merge Tables button on the Data tab.
  3. Select Re-merge from the drop-down menu.
  4. Wait while WPS refreshes the result with the previous merge settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The existing merged result is refreshed with the latest data.
  • What you can do next: You can keep using the result sheet without selecting the sources and options again.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the first merge was never completed, you cannot use Re-merge directly.
  • Environment note: The source data must remain accessible for the refresh to work normally.
