How-to Guide
1. Apply or remove italic formatting
Entry point: Home tab → Italic button (I icon)
- Select the cell that you want to format, or double-tap the cell to enter editing mode and select part of the text.
- Tap the Home tab.
- In the font formatting area, tap Italic.
- Check whether the text is now displayed in italics.
- To remove the style, tap Italic again.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The selected text appears in italics, and tapping the button again returns it to the normal style.
- Next actions: You can continue typing, editing, saving, or combining italics with other text formatting such as bold.
- No side effects: Italic formatting changes only the display style and does not affect the cell data.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If no cell or text is selected first, the expected formatting result may not appear.
- Environment limits: If the file is read-only, you may not be able to change the text format.
