Where can I find recently used symbols?

  1. Click Symbol on the Insert tab.
  2. After the Symbol panel opens, look for the recently used category.
  3. Select a symbol from that list to insert it again.

Can I insert emoji with Insert Symbol?

  1. This feature is mainly used for special characters and math symbols.
  2. If you need emoji, try a system input method or the Windows emoji input option.
  3. After entering the emoji, continue editing the spreadsheet as needed.

Why was the symbol not inserted in the expected position?

  1. Make sure the cursor is placed in the correct position inside the target cell content.
  2. Then open Insert > Symbol and choose the symbol.
  3. If the cell cannot be edited, check whether the cell is protected or the file is read-only.
