1. Insert a Hyperlink
Entry: Insert tab → Hyperlink
- Tap the Insert tab in the bottom or top toolbar area.
- Tap Hyperlink.
- In the setup panel, enter the following:
- Text: the display name of the link.
- Link: a web address, email address, or another accessible address.
- Tap OK to finish.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: the text in the target cell appears in blue with an underline.
- Next action: after selecting the cell, you can continue to view or manage the link.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: entering only display text without a valid target address will prevent normal navigation.
- Environment note: opening an external page requires an internet connection.
2. Manage a Hyperlink
Entry: Tap a cell that already contains a hyperlink → floating menu
- Tap the cell that already contains a hyperlink to open the floating menu.
- Choose the action you need:
- Open the link: open the hyperlink in the browser.
- Edit link: change the display text or target address.
- Remove link: delete the hyperlink while keeping the text content.
Success Criteria
- Visual result: after editing, the link text or address is updated; after removal, the text no longer keeps hyperlink styling.
- Next action: you can continue editing the spreadsheet or insert another link.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: tapping a normal cell will not show the hyperlink management menu; you need to select a cell that already contains a hyperlink.
- Environment note: when opening an external page, the target address must be accessible.
