1. Insert a chart from the Home tab

Entry: Home tab → chart drop-down button at the upper-right side of the ribbon

  1. Select the data range you want to turn into a chart. It is helpful to include the header row and data columns.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Find the chart drop-down button on the right side of the ribbon and open it.
  4. Choose a chart type such as column, line, pie, bar, area, scatter, stock, radar, combo, or sparkline.
  5. Select a specific subtype, and the chart is inserted into the current worksheet automatically.
