How-to Guide

1. Turn on, change color, and turn off Highlight Rows and Columns

Entry: Bottom View tab → Highlight Rows and Columns

  1. Tap the View tab at the bottom.
  2. Tap the enable button next to Highlight Rows and Columns.
  3. Select the highlight color you want.
  4. Select any cell and check whether its row and column are highlighted automatically.
  5. When you want to exit the mode, tap the disable button next to Highlight Rows and Columns again.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: after you select a cell, its row and column are highlighted at the same time.
  • What you can do next: you can continue browsing, editing, or selecting other cells, and the highlight follows the current selection.
  • No data change: the highlight only affects the current display and does not change spreadsheet content.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if you do not open the View tab first, the feature entry may be hard to find.
  • Color switching: after the feature is enabled, you can switch preset colors for clearer viewing on different sheet backgrounds.
  • Display scope: when the switch is turned off, the highlight display stops.
