1. Turn on, change color, and turn off Highlight Rows and Columns
Entry: Bottom View tab → Highlight Rows and Columns
- Tap the View tab at the bottom.
- Tap the enable button next to Highlight Rows and Columns.
- Select the highlight color you want.
- Select any cell and check whether its row and column are highlighted automatically.
- When you want to exit the mode, tap the disable button next to Highlight Rows and Columns again.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: after you select a cell, its row and column are highlighted at the same time.
- What you can do next: you can continue browsing, editing, or selecting other cells, and the highlight follows the current selection.
- No data change: the highlight only affects the current display and does not change spreadsheet content.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you do not open the View tab first, the feature entry may be hard to find.
- Color switching: after the feature is enabled, you can switch preset colors for clearer viewing on different sheet backgrounds.
- Display scope: when the switch is turned off, the highlight display stops.
