1. Turn on Eye Care Mode from the View tab

Entry: View → Eye Care Mode

  1. Open the spreadsheet file you want to review or edit.
  2. Click the View tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click Eye Care Mode.
  4. Check whether the editing area changes to a softer display color.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the spreadsheet editing area changes to a softer viewing tone.
  • You can continue: you can keep entering, reviewing, and editing cell content.

Tips While Using

  • Common issue: if the spreadsheet window is not active, the change may not appear as expected.

2. Turn on Eye Care Mode from the status bar

Entry: Status bar → Eye Care Mode icon

  1. Open a spreadsheet file and look at the status bar at the bottom of the window.
  2. Find the Eye Care Mode icon.
  3. Click the icon to turn on Eye Care Mode.
  4. Confirm that the editing area display changes.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the editing area switches to the eye care display immediately after you click.
  • You can continue: you can keep working without leaving your current editing position.

Tips While Using

  • Common issue: if the window is small, make sure the full status bar is visible first.
  • Environment note: the status bar entry is useful for quick switching during editing.

3. Check the display effect and turn off Eye Care Mode

Entry: Click Eye Care Mode again or click the status bar icon again

  1. With Eye Care Mode on, review the current spreadsheet background effect.
  2. Decide whether to keep it on for the current environment.
  3. Click Eye Care Mode again, or click the status bar icon again.
  4. Confirm that the interface returns to the normal display effect.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the editing area returns from the eye care display to the default display.
  • You can continue: document content, cell fill, and editing results stay unchanged.

Tips While Using

  • Common issue: turning off Eye Care Mode does not undo document edits.
