1. Use the DAY function
Entry point: Formulas tab → formula bar
- Open WPS AirSheet and select the cell where you want to display the result.
- Type
=in the formula bar or directly in the cell to start the formula. - Type
DAY(and review the syntax guidance and argument details. - Enter a valid argument, such as a date cell, a date-returning formula result, or a valid date value.
- Type the closing parenthesis and press Enter to view the returned result in the current cell.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The cell shows a numeric result from 1 to 31.
- Next actions: You can copy the formula, revise the argument, or combine it with other formulas.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: Entering date text that cannot be recognized may cause an incorrect result or an error.
- Environment limits: If the referenced value is not in a valid date format, check the cell content and formatting first.
