How-to Guide
1. Switch page width from the lower-right corner
Entry: Lower-right corner of the document window → page width switch button
- Open the document you want to read or edit.
- Click the page width switch button in the lower-right toolbar area.
- Select Standard Width, Wider, or Full Width.
- Check the page area and confirm that the current width matches your reading or editing needs.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The visible page content area changes in width.
- What you can do next: You can continue reading, editing, or reviewing tables and images.
Tips While Using
- Common issue: If the window is too small, the difference between width modes may look less obvious.
- Environment note: This change mainly affects the current document view.
2. Change the default page width in Document Settings
Entry: File → Document Settings → Personal Preferences
- Click the File menu in the upper-left corner of the WPS document window.
- Select Document Settings.
- Click Personal Preferences.
- In Default Page Width, choose Standard Width or Full Width.
- Save the setting. New documents and documents opened for the first time will use this default width.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The default page width option is updated to your selected mode.
- What you can do next: New documents or first-time document openings use the updated setting.
Tips While Using
- Common issue: If a document has already been adjusted manually, that document may keep its own width setting.
- Environment note: The default setting is tied to the current account, so signing in is recommended.
