1. Insert an ordered list with the slash command
Entry point: Document editing area → type / → select Ordered List
- Click a blank line in the document.
- Type
/. - Select Ordered List from the pop-up menu.
- You can also type
/szlbor/numbered listto call the feature quickly. - Type your content, then press Enter to create the next numbered item.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The current line appears as a numbered list item.
- Next action available: You can keep typing and the next number is created automatically.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not type
/on a blank editable line, the expected list creation result may not appear.- Environment note: You need to be inside an editable document area.
2. Insert an ordered list from the ribbon
Entry point: Document editing area → ribbon → Ordered List icon
- Place the cursor where you want to insert the ordered list.
- Click the Ordered List icon on the ribbon.
- Type your content, then press Enter to create the next numbered item.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A numbered list format appears at the insertion point.
- Next action available: You can continue entering multiple items with automatic numbering.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the cursor is not placed in the target position first, the list is inserted at the current cursor location.
3. Convert paragraphs into an ordered list with the paragraph handle
Entry point: Select the target paragraph → paragraph handle icon → Ordered List button
- Place the cursor in the target paragraph, or select multiple paragraphs first.
- Click the paragraph handle icon on the left side.
- Click Ordered List to convert the current paragraph or selected content into an ordered list.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: Continuous numbering appears before the target paragraph or selected paragraphs.
- Next action available: You can add more items or use Tab to adjust sublevels.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the target paragraph is not selected clearly, the action may apply only to the paragraph where the cursor is located.
- Environment note: This entry point is especially useful when reorganizing existing content.
4. Insert an ordered list from the Insert menu
Entry point: Document editing area → ribbon → Insert drop-down menu → Ordered List icon
- Place the cursor where you want to insert the ordered list.
- Click the Insert drop-down menu on the ribbon.
- Click the Ordered List icon.
- Type your content, then press Enter to create the next numbered item.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A numbered list is created at the current position.
- Next action available: You can continue entering later items with automatic numbering.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you open the Insert menu but do not choose the correct icon, the editor will not switch to numbered-list mode.
